Installation: I installed my own blinds!
The product is easy to install once you understand how to click the blind into the brackets. Product appears to be good quality and functions well with the side rails. I would order from Blind Chalet again.

Installation: I installed my own blinds!
If you live in a cold climate you need these blinds. The side track makes a BIG difference in insulating the window. The materials could be a little heavier but the fabrication quality is excellent. They were very carefully packed to ensure undamaged shipping.

Installation: I installed my own blinds!
I have been using Blinds Chalet Slumbertrack cellular shades to cover existing single pane windows. This system makes a significant difference
in reducing heat loss as measured by using an infrared thermometer on my windows. The R-value increase of this system is much higher than mini-blinds or drapes or shutters and they look great.

Installation: I installed my own blinds!
Bought these as alternative to $15000 for new double pane windows. They really work. Tested them using infrared thermometer. The black out blinds would have even higher R value but I would lose too much light. Installation is easy for an good DIY person. A novice could have problems with very wide blinds as mine were.

Very happy with the fit and quality. Using them over
single pane windows for their R-Value. Would have like to use the blackout shades because of their higher R-Value but need the light. I could immediately see an insulation value increase of five degrees F with the shades down. If you don't want to spend $20,000 having your windows upgraded this is a very attractive and inexpensive way to increase the thermal efficiency of old windows.
